Of all the authors who have influenced my work and my personal journey, none has been more significant than Marion Woodman. Addiction to Perfection: The Still Unravished Bride: A Psychological Study (Studies in Jungian Psychology), published in 1982, was the first of her books that found its way to me. In it she explores the psychology of women through case material, dream, mythology, modern symbolism and imagery.
She is simultaneously wildly brilliant and gently comforting in this book as well as the many others she has authored. You can also find recordings and videos of her lectures. Read the books (some are listed below), but make it a point to find a video. Marion in her person is magical and indiscriminately healing.
There are others: find one that speaks to you and start there.
